Numenera - Buzzer Sketch 2

My second buzzer design, this time designed around the idea of a buzzer manufactured during the time of the Ninth World, but using pre-Ninth World methods in its construction (making it what is referred to in-game as a "fashioned" device).

This variant (the same one used by my character Jaik) is made within the Kingdom of Ghan by a particularly large-scale arms manufacturer. The outer frame of the device is an especially durable type of synth (what we would understand as a polymer) that is rendered molten and poured into casting moulds which include integrated sights. The shell consists of two segments that can be easily snapped apart with the removal of a pin, allowing easy access to the internal synthsteel components in the event field repairs are needed.

This variant is mass-produced for the Army and Navy of Ghan, enjoying wide-acclaim for its durability, accuracy, and ease of repair.

(On a technical note, the general look of the buzzer was largely inspired by Magpul furniture, specifically their AK grip and MOE foreguard).
