Sometimes you need a needle, sometimes a scalpel, and sometimes a bigass sword. The Knight's Armament SR-16 is the hammer-forged workhorse of the IDA Strike Teams, the dedicated attack units deployed in force-on-force operations requiring overwhelming firepower. The SR is a beast of a weapons platform, capable of both precision shots worthy of a Designated Marksman Rifle and the suppressive potency of a light machine gun, even serving decently well as a close-quarters weapon in the hands of a veteran IDA operator. The standard IDA version comes with a Leupold precision scope, a pair of folding canted iron-sights, IDA standard Lancer Mags, and an Operators Suppressor System with an attached Standoff Flash Hider (which, in addition to giving the weapon further utility as a breaching tool, allows Strike Teams to stab hostiles with their guns).
NOTE: This rifle is based on the Knight's Armament SR-15 platform, but is designated as an SR-16 due to its full-auto capability.
